Audyssey recommends starting with the 'Audyssey' or “Audyssey Reference” curve. In some cases, the 'Audyssey Flat' curve might be preferable for music. If desired, trim level adjustments can be made in the receiver / processor to boost subwoofer levels for those who prefer more bass output.

After running Audyssey on my Denon AVR-X2100W, I manually set the front speakers from large to small (Running 5.1 speaker setup). However, once I back out of the menu on the receiver and go back to it, the speakers are set to large again. The Denon is not 'taking' or saving this setting of 'small' that I am selecting. Everything else works perfect, so I think it is something I do not understand. I have read the manual several times, so I am fairly familiar with the features, settings, etc.
BTW - This sub has some of the most helpful contributors. Thanks again.
